Carpentry tools on wood

About me:
In 2026 I made a clear shift. I moved from corporate responsible business and sustainability into carpentry and joinery, learning the craft properly and building a new direction for myself. I turned my home office into a workshop and enrolled on an NVQ in Architectural Joinery.

Woodworking is something I’ve always been good at. My dad was a joiner. I’ve picked up skills from him over the years, and I’ve inherited his tools since he passed away. Carpentry goes back generations in my family, at least all the way back to Henry Harvey, born in 1805, listed as a House Carpenter Journeyman in the 1851 census.

It is in my blood
